Dunlop Truck Centre Ltd. to host YMCA fundraiser at Customer Appreciation Day

BBQ to benefit YMCA of Medicine Hat “Strong Kids Campaign”
MEDICINE HAT, AB – Dunlop Truck Centre Ltd. is having a Customer Appreciation Day on June 20, 2018. The dealership, which has operated in Medicine Hat since 2005, would like to thank the community and its many loyal customers for their continued support.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the YMCA of Medicine Hat will be on site, grilling up free food for anyone who wishes to attend. A 50/50 draw will take place, with all proceeds and donations from the event benefiting the Strong Kids Campaign.
“It is always wonderful to see corporations take the initiative to support local charities, such as the YMCA,” said Helene Nicholson, Philanthropy Director at the YMCA of Medicine Hat. “Investing in the YMCA of Medicine Hat means that others will have the opportunity to access programs, services and facilities.”
An annual fundraiser, the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign focuses on raising much-needed resources to give kids the opportunities they need to reach their full potential. Funds raised are available to kids, families and individuals to access YMCA facilities and programs, such as overnight and summer camps.
“Camp is a wonderful opportunity that allows children to foster new relationships and improve their physical, mental, emotional and social skills,” said Nicholson.
Thanks to the Strong Kids Campaign, the YMCA last year provided $97,205 in membership financial assistance and $31,473 in camp financial assistance.
Dunlop’s Customer Appreciation Day is a great opportunity to give back to the community, learn more about YMCA programs and meet the friendly staff at Dunlop Truck Centre. Reps from every department with be on hand to answer questions regarding sales, service, parts or its state-of-the-art body shop. Anyone is welcome to attend and there is plenty of parking, even for the big rigs.
